We were sent to retrieve a spy, a very annoying man named Argos. Argos is afraid of magic and he is psionic, he also has a poison inside him derived from the Drow power source. We found out he is a doppelganger. On our return trip Zerania found a man pinned to a tree. This man was a Mist Walker.

Mist Walkers are a group of humans who were taught to conjure mist and hide within it. Zerania and Bayonetta decided they were going to return the young man’s body to his people. Argos threw a fit over this and began threatening to leave.

We set up camp and were to move out in the morning and once Argos went to sleep Zerania opened a portal under him and sent him to Tiff’s keep. Bayonetta found that Zel and Terrance were staying with the Mist Walkers but we were told to keep it quiet as it is an offense punishable by death. This is due to a previous war with the people of The Waste. The Mist Walkers are thought of as uncivilized cannibals by the other humans.

Zel told us to bring the body to the base of the Mist Mountain and lay it on the ground with his weapons. Then we were to kneel and not move with our eyes cast to the ground. Also we were to keep quiet until a Mist Walker spoke to us. Once that happened we were to say “We have avenged your dead and he walks with the maker.” Then we  were told to introduce ourselves and Zerania was to mention being married to Zel.

(The Maker is actually a demon that is trapped in ice in the mountain and has bestowed gifts upon them. In reality the weapons and items this demon has given to the Mist Walkers belong to Zel.)

Zerania misunderstood and spoke his real name Zelious. It means budding flower. He was definitely not amused and the Mist Walkers teased him about it. During our visit with the Mist Walkers we discovered that Zel actually taught them how to use the mist.

That night Zel and Zerania had an encounter with the clan leaders daughter. She became pregnant and they found themselves married to her as well.

Ambrose had invited Tiff and Merick to travel via his tower to spend the night. Normally this would not be a problem however if she had left the tent and saw where we were she would have had to punish us for being there. Luckily enough she realized this and did not acknowledge it. Thus she did not exit the tent through conventional means.

This marriage made the possibility of a allied treaty between the Mist Walkers and The Waste easily managed. As Zel and Zerania are West Havenians and allied with the Waste; the group was able to petition Tiff for this accord.

Zerania also agreed to take Merin on as her Apprentice, to teach her the ways of the bard. The group decided to travel back to Tiff’s keep with the Mist Walker delegates.
